Autumn Holiday 2026: Sunshine instead of Grey Autumn Days
As the weather slowly gets cooler, many people find it's the best time to travel. The autumn holidays 2026 are an ideal opportunity to soak up the sun, discover new cultures, or simply relax for a few days by the sea.
But where should the journey take you?
Whether it's Mediterranean flair, oriental culture, spectacular cities, or tropical beaches – Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Dubai, and Thailand are among the exciting travel destinations for an autumn holiday.
And of course, one thing should not be missing: a reliable internet connection on the go.
Turkey: Sun, Sea, and Oriental Flair
Turkey is a classic for autumn holidays. Especially on the Turkish Riviera around Antalya, Side, and Belek, travellers can still enjoy warm days and pleasant temperatures.
If you want more than just a beach holiday, you'll find historical sights, lively cities, and diverse cuisine. Istanbul, with its unique mix of Europe and Asia, is also a fascinating travel destination.
What makes it special: Beach holidays, culture, and culinary delights can be perfectly combined in Turkey.
Egypt: Red Sea and Millennia of History
Egypt is an ideal destination for anyone seeking sun in autumn. Places like Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Marsa Alam are known for their beaches and the impressive underwater world of the Red Sea.
At the same time, one of the world's oldest cultures awaits discovery. The Pyramids of Giza, Luxor, and the Valley of the Kings also make Egypt a special travel destination for culture enthusiasts.
What makes it special: Beach holidays and a fascinating millennia-old history come together here.
Tunisia: Mediterranean Meets Sahara
Tunisia offers a diverse combination of beach, culture, and adventure. Djerba, Hammamet, and Monastir are popular destinations for a relaxing holiday on the Mediterranean.
If you're looking for more adventure, you can explore historical medinas or take a trip into the Sahara. This very mix makes Tunisia a versatile travel destination for the autumn holidays.
What makes it special: From Mediterranean beaches to the Sahara – Tunisia offers a surprisingly wide range of experiences.
Dubai: A City of Superlatives
Dubai stands for impressive architecture, luxury, shopping, and spectacular experiences. Autumn is a good opportunity to discover the city while enjoying sunshine and warmth.
From the Burj Khalifa to modern shopping malls, traditional souks, and desert safaris, Dubai offers an extraordinary mix of modernity and tradition.
What makes it special: Skyscrapers, desert, and Arabian tradition are only a few kilometres apart here.
Thailand: Tropical Beaches and Exotic Experiences
Thailand is the ideal destination for anyone planning a long-haul trip in autumn. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Krabi offer a fascinating mix of culture, nature, cuisine, and dream beaches.
Temples, street food, tropical islands, and impressive landscapes make Thailand a travel destination that is also perfectly suited for a round trip.
What makes it special: Thailand combines exotic culture, tropical nature, and unique culinary experiences.
